I don't think so. He saw first hand the horrors of war. Remember he actually fought on the ground in the wars of choice started by those chicken hawk war mongers.

But it wasn't Obama's war. It was Bush's war and the neo-Cons war.

False. When Pete was in Afghanistan he was in the capital HHQ and on Bagram - the safest places to be;
No combat ribbon, He had a safe desk job for 7mo.

So you're right though, He did "see first hand the horrors of war" through a tiny glass window.
Unpopular opinion: Not all vets deserve the same respect/praise, I admire those who were actually on the front-lines ie; Tulsi

A look at the corporate backing for Pete Buttigieg

strawman candidate backed by the big Tech companies to eliminate Warren from the race?

It is amazing that someone with no real record in a country so large can gain so much of the vote in such a short time through the strength of financial backing. On the other hand, you have Trump and Bloomberg who are or have openly bought their way into the limelight.

The big Tech companies are still paying little or no income taxes, since the Trump tax law put a deferment on the taxes. Many of them used the offshore deferment for the better part of 20 years. Now, we pretend that the money has been 'repatriated' but still there is no tax being collected. Witness the corporate tax receipts falling by half in the first year of the new law.

Not all the presidential candidates are vets. So you're not comparing vet against vet with these candidates. The only vet candidates are Buttigieg and Gabbard.

Trump isn't a vet. Worse, Trump dodged the service during the draft due to his wealthy and powerful father. Sanders and Biden aren't vets. Warren isn't a vet.

You might want to read up a bit on this. Yes, he served in Afghanistan and kudos for that ,but he was in country for only a short period, and most certainly did not engage in combat.

South Bend is characterized as a medium sized city, not a small city. A mayor is the top leader, the executive, versus a Senator or a US Representative position which isn't the leader, but is one of a team. Even today, Buttigieg has more political experience than Trump (8 years versus 3 years). He's also a veteran of the US military and a Rhodes Scholar.

Here's a short video from Buttigieg explaining why he believes he would make a good president.

I’m so tired of MSM beating the drum that Pete Buttigieg has no black support.
In a Quinnipiac national poll February 5 - 9, Pete’s favorability with black voters:
Favorable 42%
Unfavorable 13%
Haven't heard enough 42%

It simply isn't true that black voters don't like him.
