GOP dumps raw sewage into American rivers

'GOP' means Grand Old Party. It is anything but that, at least not anymore.

The Trumpublicans indeed are poisoning us.

THIS

OMG the left are getting nuttier and nuttier by the day.

Case in point.

If you actually want to be taken seriously you should make rational points.

Look into Trump's roll back regulations on waters ways and streams since becoming president. Also his increased agenda into logging, his allowing lead in bullets used for hunting, his support for coal mining. The list goes on.....

Democrats since the beginning have "allowed lead bullets for hunting". Do you know how miniscule that amount is, and Lead occurs NATURALLY in the Earth? Also, lead bullets don't give off any appreciable lead in the environment.

Trump has NOT rolled any environmental regs back that are not redundant or unnecessary. The EPA has been out of control for decades, and we had a bunch of "grow the fiefdom" types in charge for way too long. It is a joke, and people like you support government over reach which is harmful to most people.

For G-d's sake.

You worry about our economic system or the way we govern ourselves while we do away with clean water to drink?

Does your water treatment plant remove all the detergents, oils, hand lotions. micro specs of fiber from the fabrics we wash from the water coming through your faucet? How about the stuff off the streets, petroleum products, chemicals and fertilizers. How about the plastics, medications such as Viagra and birth control pills, anxiety meds, tranquilizers?

Those who gave up and drink bottled water are getting all that stuff plus bits of plastic. It's in our flesh and the flesh of fish we eat.

Water from public utility companies is tested annually. My state or city never told people whose water came from an aquifer about the radiation that was in the ground since creation also being in their water. Nobody really knows what half of that stuff will do to animal bodies. Or fetuses. IMO, we need to fund some heavy duty research to find out. Judging from the kids who need special services at school, we are paying for it one way or another.

Now factor in the almost daily chemical and petroleum spills. Then add stuff used to put out fires caused by explosions.

we can't have clean water because we spend all our money on wars and weapons.

Being a good steward of the earth is one of the Bible teachings we decided to ignore years ago. It has nothing to do with politics or economic systems. It's all about greed.

IMO, we should pull out of every foreign country. And pass a 10% flat tax for every household and business in the country. Nobody gets a deduction for anything. Then put a 10% surcharge on that until the debt gets reasonable again. While all that is happening use resources we have to clean this place up. and fix our own infrastructure instead of Iraq's and Afghanistan's.

Just my .02.
