No, he simply found an audience made up of enough people who do no care about things like honesty, ethical behavior, intelligence, and the ability to unite instead of dividing the country, that he conned those folks into somehow thinking he would be a good choice. As the last 3 years of turmoil and corruption have shown, how did that work out ?

Sad part is, many still do not realize they were conned.

They are in it for the money and the power and they'll hang on for the ride for as long as they possibly can. Look at Moscow Mitch. He has turned the Senate into his own little fiefdom and he refuses any bills that come from the House to ever even see the light of day.

We are living in very troubled times that may well get worse.

Only an IDIOT president would keep people around who do NOT support him 100%.

Impeachment is for treason, bribery, high crimes and misdemeanors. No actual primary crime is being charged, as "abuse of power" is not a statute of any kind. They might as well have charged with with "being a meanie."

As for the results, a newly minted Republican representative from a dem who switched parties, 600,000 new donors, some of the highest approval ratings he has had in three years, and very good polling in the swing states.

Not a damn fool at all. In fact, he is going to be your president for about five more years.

There was a law broken according to the GAO (General Accounting Office).

What is actually more important was that Alexander Hamilton lays out the the reasons for impeachment in Federalist Papers #65. Here is a quote from what I'm sure are public domain documents: "The subjects of its jurisdiction are those offenses which proceed from the misconduct of public men, or, in other words, from the abuse or violation of some public trust. They are of a nature which may with peculiar propriety be denominated POLITICAL, as they relate chiefly to injuries done immediately to the society itself."

Judge for yourself if the President's violation is an offense of the type above.

He fires everyone who disagrees with him, so no, there is no longer anyone around to correct Trump from an ill course.

It used to be more common and was illegal in more states when Clinton was president - including in DC, although I think it carried some obnoxiously low fine like $5-10. Matter of fact, his impeachment led to a rash of states officially decriminalizing adultery.
We had to sign every year, a form stating we understood the "Code of Ethics" and agreed to obey them when I worked for Uncle Sam at the time of clinton's presidency.
The clause stated you will NOT have a "relationship" with ANYBODY who serves under you.

If caught you CAN be fired and are subjected to criminal prosecution.

(That IS who you're talking about, isn't it?)
Other women said he raped them which is why hllary set up the "war room" with james, the "snake" carvell, begala and the now HOST on ABC george "stepalloverus", to discredit each and every one of them.

Of course later she said we should ALWAYS believe a woman when she makes such accusations.

There is lying, and then there is LYING. When a man says more lies than truthful statements, there is a problem there. Trump is such a liar that he has no credibility whatsoever. The man lies even when there is no need to lie, he just does it automatically and constantly.

He will stand up there and spout one story in the morning, and then do a 180 that very afternoon. That is a sickness, and goes right to the core of his character.
