How is it that it's not ok for Trump to investigate a POTENTIAL political rival running for the opposition nomination.....

But it's perfectly fine for Senators Cory Booker, Kamala Harris, Amy Klobuchar, Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren, who are or were at one point running for President against Trump, to sit as jurors in the Senate trial and get a vote on his impeachment and possible removal as an opponent in the election they are currently entered in. (At least for Bernie, Warren and Klobuchar at this point)

You'd think that they would have to recuse themselves to avoid a conflict of interest.

What other Democrats do you want to recuse themselves? Or maybe Romney and Collins should as well?

Any Senators which either were at one point or currently are running for President in the 2020 election against Trump.

Democrats or Republicans.

At bare minimum the ones currently still in the race.

Did they try to strong arm a foreign power to dig up dirt on Trump?

I don't think so.

Not the topic.

The Democrats are just as much of a enemy, if not more, than any foreign power. BTW, you guys didn’t think a foreign power like Iran was all that dangerous so why even worry about Ukraine, which is an actual ally?

So which Republican Senator is or was running for president this year? I mean, if I did not know better, you want to give the GOP an even bigger margin in the hearings. What about Lindsey Graham and Mitch McConnell? They pretty much admitted they had made up their minds long before the hearings even began. Should they be recused?

It was also OK to spy on candidate Trump, president elect Trump, and president Trump.

The hypocrisy is astounding.

Well, certainly. I'm sure one of the house members would be happy to take their place. The senators would likely rather be out campaigning in Iowa.

I said Dems or Republicans as a example of what should be.....

Not because I think there are Republican senators currently running. (As if that wasn't obviously what I meant)

And if you want to go to Graham and McConnel due to their statements......

Then you could eliminate just about every Democrat who's been screaming "IMPEACH"!! Since before Trump was even sworn in.

Remember, the question is about a conflict of interest....not bias.
