Be prepared to be shocked at how expensive almost everything is in Switzerland. Even New York City pales in comparison.

It is a country only for the elite.

You do know they only broadcast what they like and ignore what they don't, yes?

Most of these wastes of DNA believe the Nordic states are socialist countries. Ignorant may be a tad kind.
I knew a Swedish woman who liked her country's economy better than America because it was, in her words, "socialist."

Doesn't seem like there is any strict definition of the word, any more than "free market"...

There are strict definitions. You will find them in a dictionary.

People incorrectly define words all the time. That doesn't mean the actual definition is wrong.

"A nation of immigrants." That's another one of these phrases that people hear and repeat without looking at any data. We are overwhelmingly a nation of native-born citizens, 86%, most of whom are at least a century removed from immigrant ancestors. We do take in a lot of immigrants, but we also have a whole lot of people, in general.

The phrase " A Nation of Immigrants " was the name of a book written by JFK in which he means that the US is a nation of immigration. That the majority of people who live in the US are descended from immigrants.

Just like Canada.

In the context of this thread, my comment was to highlight the fact that the poster who posted:

"I disagree. Heritage is the any nation's identifying culture not foreign ones influencing them. Those changes are not what I would call a nation's heritage."

Which seems to ignore the fact that your identifying culture is one that exists in it's present form because of foreign, or immigrants bringing their culture to the US. It boggles my mind that the poster can mention heritage, without identifying immigrations and foreign influences on creating that heritage.

Anyway, that poster hasn't responded. Maybe they had time to think, or went out to get a good 'ol American pizza

The problem is that societies both past and present haven't implemented anything that closely matches either the Communist or Capitalist ideal.

Not even the US, where crony capitalism and Central Banking have COMPLETELY DISTORTED the market.
