There is evidence that they dined together. It comes from Parnas' first-hand reports, corroborated by audio recordings showing that he spoke with Trump in close quarters. I supposed you could quibble that there's no conclusive evidence that they actually shared a meal. Would you be more comfortable if I said they "met together at an establishment that serves food and had a conversation, but it's not clear whether they actually ate anything?"

Gee, I'm not sure, but I can think of a couple things that shouldn't be on the list of pleasantries. National security secrets, for example. I'm also fairly confident that it's neither usual nor advisable for the President to conduct diplomacy and making hiring and firing decisions through strangers.
