So I guess our streams and waterways were too clean, time to roll back.

WASHINGTON — The Trump administration on Thursday finalized a rule to strip away environmental protections for streams, wetlands and groundwater, handing a victory to farmers, fossil fuel producers and real estate developers who said Obama-era rules had shackled them with onerous and unnecessary burdens.
From Day 1 of his administration, President Trump vowed to repeal President Barack Obama’s “Waters of the United States” regulation, which had frustrated rural landowners

Oh good, I can create a pond instead of using an old stock tank to water my cows.

Sure let everyone create their own little ponds and divert streams across the nation, no downside.

Many EPA regs are redundant. EVERY STATE has their version of the EPA with very strict environmental regulations. Nothing has changed that would effect the environment. If anything an unnecessary regulation has been removed, but Democrats hate freedom, and liberty and just love all Government OVER REACH. Sad and pathetic.

"This is a big win for farmers, and this is the president delivering what he promised," said Donald Parrish, senior director of regulatory affairs for the American Farm Bureau Federation, which had lobbied for years to weaken the Obama administration's water rules.

Why do you hate farmers?

Karen Harbert, chief executive officer of the American Gas Association, said the new rule "would restore the proper balance between federal and state regulation of our nation's waters and protect our rivers, streams and lakes without stifling construction of important infrastructure."

Progressives (Communists) like Mr. Long Island here do NOT believe in Private Property rights. Government owns and controls it as evidenced by the HUGE PROPERTY TAXES people in L.I. put up with. Anyone that accepts that is irrational and is a government stooge.

How is the road ditch in front of my place a navigable waterway? I have to take 20 acres out of production and grow a strip of grass 50 feet wide the length of the public ditch....How would that be fair.. I applaud the change!

This is not about pollution.

But it is about private property and water rights. And this rule did not achieve what was intended, resulting in mere government overreach.

Streams and rivers don't just happen, they are fed from smaller bodies of water and can pollute. The picture in the article is a good indication, farms can easily pollute wetlands and subsequently rivers.
Nitrogen runoff from farms is a large issue with many bodies of water, Lake Erie is a good example.
