Trump is not going to get the wall built, the Republicans, even when they controlled both houses would not reform immigration law nor enforce the existing law, the DOJ is corrupt...it is over. I love Trump but all his Presidency will amount to,in the long term, is one man's futile attempt to fight for America, and America the voting populace turned it back on, a country who's people deserted her in her moment of need.

America deserved a warrior to fight to the end for her, and she got that in Trump. But in the end, he is one man, standing alone, one man without a party, p one man against it all, a man with the steely nerves of a duelist. What a man, and what fight he has put up...but America is passing, we are just witnessing on last hurrah into the sun before the death throes start.

Sad, this country deserved better from us.
Relajate amigo!

This is just an opinion, but based on about 30 years of living here:

Colorado is now solidly blue in the areas that "count" (meaning the Front Range, which is high population compared to rural areas), and I doubt if that will change in the next 30 years, at least, and I also think that can partly be attributed to the high number of Spanish speakers, even though the number of those are, reportedly, decreasing.

Winning unexpectedly in one district is not the same as winning statewide especially when said district is about 25 points closer than the state as a whole.

Oh, man, you have got to be a deep cover liberal satirist, because even Liberace was not this gay.

Still, if you're a Republican it's very unsettling and surely calls for dividing up Oklahoma County up into 2 or 3 congressional districts instead of one.

In 2016, Colorado and Virginia crossed that same three elections in a row marker that California did in 2000, giving their support to the losing effort of Hillary Clinton.

I think that Iowa and Ohio are trending red, but we don’t have the same consistency that we have had in Colorado and Virginia. We need a couple more cycles to confirm it. Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin at this point look like they’ve just switched from blue to purple.
Winner.^^^^

Think of Ohio as light red. Dems should still try for it.
I agree that MI PA and WI are trending red. Im still thinking PA is in the light blue category and the Philly are will carry PA for the Dem this time.

Northern Virginia wants this, and since northern Virginia now commands all of the state's growth, this does not pose a threat, most of the new citizens no longer have any weapons.

If this gun issue were so important, we would see Democratic states with strong gun control, voting for Republicans, and it doesn't.

Many states are still "swing states" some just have more swing than others.

The amount of *swing* depends upon the candidates that are running.

Imagine in the past election if either candidate had been really strong they'd have mopped the floor with the other and you'd have seen states *swing* that normally don't.

"steely nerves of a duelist"? "What a man"? Barf!! Give me a break!

But I wonder what you mean by "an America the voting populace turned it back on"? The voting populace IS America.
