It doesn't !!! Its is possible to change the election system without a constitutional amendment !!!

The idea of efforts to elect by popular vote, ( AKA - Mob Rule ), is called- National Popular Vote Interstate Compact (NPV)- the plan to nullify the Electoral College without changing the Constitution.

Never underestimate the lefts ability to circumvent the constitution !!! When they aren't ignoring it, or attacking it directly, they are working to circumvent it !!!

Here’s how Elizabeth Warren wants to silence Middle America

On my list of worries, this isn't one. Once this gets to the Supreme Court, it will be blocked and overturned.

I guess if I were a Dim, I would pursue the same. I think it won't make it, If it does, I would LMAO if the first time it's implemented it forces a Republican to win over a Dim with more EC's

"to name but a few - seem to be doing just fine" America is NOT "fine". it is GREAT.

"Republicans are much less interested in "democracy" than they are in holding on to power" And the dems have ADMITTED the impeachment is all about the upcoming election and the people cannot be trusted to "vote" the way the dems want them to.

Guess they are NOT concerned with taking back control of the country and wielding ether "power!

"Why is nearly every state passing legislation on the issue ?" You tell us. I can only go by what they have said, "AFTER they get the 270....", which is what it is now.

The Dems are really vicious people that will manipulate the system to give themselves a better chance at winning. All they care about is winning. We only need to look at the fit they threw and successfully blocked the question about citizenship on the 2020 census.

All the Dems care about is power and they will do anything to get it.
"We all know if Trump had won the popular vote"

"We know if hillary had won the electoral college as was predicted......"

Every time the dems lose, which is a lot, and don't get what they want they try to change "rules"!

Personally I'd like to see my home state (Florida) go to an electoral college system for state wide elections. Local elections would remain by popular vote.

The radical left has taken over the democrat party. It is now Socialist Communist party. Communism by any other name is still communism, even the so called democrat party.

Those wealthy slave owners were all democrats. Republicans fought against slavery
