How does one accidentally say that word? It never comes out of my mouth or enter my thoughts as a word to use. Ever. There isn't even a word that it could be mistaken for. A ****** when talking about drinks and bartending is the only thing even close. C_D even bleeps out my use of an actual word with a j.
Earlier today, while reporting on the tragic news of Kobe Bryant’s passing, I unfortunately stuttered on air, combining the names of the Knicks and the Lakers to say “Nakers.” Please know I did not & would NEVER use a racist term. I apologize for the confusion this caused.
Nothing worse than witnessing my fellow conservatives playing the same games as liberals over something like this. She misspoke. We all do it.
Do you really want to contribute to this obscene culture of trying to ruin people over what they say at the odd moment, particularly when it's unintentional?
I'm actually all for giving people a second chance for a mistake, but she needs to be treated the same way a white man would be treated by the left for the same mistake.
She should never work again and MSNBC should be picketed, boycotted and lose sponsors.
I totally agree.
Oh second chances are my default where people aren't physically hurt by someone's actions. For this issue, though, and similar to what you're writing, I consider her to be an extension of MSNBC. And they've been given countless chances, to include hiring the racist and homophobic Joy Reid, who lied and continued to lie about her racist and homophobic Twitter feed after being exposed. Note, it would be one thing if people made an honest mistake and then fessed up to it; I can get over that. But when you're out there now lying about what you said or didn't say (and yes I consider Morris to be a liar here), that's completely different.

It's not the first word I think of when looking at a picture of or thinking about Kobe Bryant.
really? I see the same people on NBC and MSNBC all the time. Craig Melvin does the Today Show and a couple hours later he has his own show on MSNBC. You want to restate that?

Completely agree.
And there's nothing new about this. In 1950, my mother taught me to never use that word, and to never think of anyone in those terms.

You're right and I was wrong.
In my defense, I don't watch either regularly.
