I don't find it that surprising since Senator/former DA Harris dropped. San Jose's Mayor has endorsed Bloomberg as well (and is his California Campaign Chair).

I’d vote for Bloomberg over Trump. There is no other candidate I would support over Trump besides Bloomberg.

After Bloomberg’s admitted total cluelessness about the wrongness of stop-and-frisk policy here, and the deep harm and alienation that it caused in black and Hispanic communities, I’m a bit taken aback that any black pol could back Bloomberg.

The powers that be in the Dem party are doing whatever it takes to remove Bernie Sanders as a viable candidate. Bloomberg is acting no more than a spolier right now. London Breed, with all her street smarts knows what is best for her own political ambitions. Doing what she is told and who to endorse is something she has no choice but to obey.

All about keeping Bernie Sanders away from the Dem nomination. Ironically, he has the best chance of all of beating Trump.

^^^

... although, I would add, Andrew Yang pi**es no one off and has the highest % of interest from former Trump supporters. He is young and inexperienced and his platform is not fully fleshed out, true ... and yet, he is smart as a whip, and incredibly genuine and well-intentioned. If the nation managed to survive under the chaos, inexperience and mental illness of Trump, the learning curve of a guy smart as Yang should be no danger.

Breed hasn't done anything to prove she isn't a part of the DNC establishment machine. What makes you think she is being forced to do endorse people she doesn't want to? My guess is she wants to keep the Bernies out of the party. I'd honestly be most worried if Bloomberg wins the nomination. But with that being said, I also like Bloomberg, so it wouldn't be a bad thing for me.

With that being said, I agree that the DNC is actively working to prevent Bernie from winning the nomination. The GOP seemed to try to stop Trump, but then gave in and it worked out for them. I think Bernie has a better chance at winning than Biden, but I think he would still lose UNLESS the economy dives before the election.

I'm not a fan of Yang (for reasons previously discussed in another thread); but true that.
