According to Chinese sources, trains testing on the Beijing-Zhangjiakou High-speed Railway were able to break the nation's locomotive speed record at approximately 239 miles per hour (mph). The speed is 10 percent higher than the train's original designs.

China is building a new hospital for the Coronavirus within ONE WEEK!

Meanwhile here in the US, Trump plays golf!

The automobile and petroleum industries don't want high speed and electrified rail. The clowns in the US Congress bend over for them.

And they have 700,000,000 people living in dire poverty around those rail lines who can never afford to ride them.

And the unsanitary conditions have led to a new virus which the government has quarantined 46,000,000 at this point. Hence the need for an emergency hospital. BTW the USA did that back in the 1960s.

If you are so hot & heavy on China, get a plane ticket and head there. Nobody will mind. And while you're at it, speak about "president" Xi like you do about Trump and see what happens to you.

(I truly believe the deranged Trump haters have lost their minds)

China doesn't have to deal with silly little things like property rights. If they want your land, they will take it. You cannot fight it. If you are offered money, you just take it.

Is this a serious post?

China is a nation structured like a veritable hive of ants. They can mobilize more construction workers in a short period of time than some countries have in total population.

They also have 1/100th the bureaucracy of the US when it comes to building codes, permitting, plan approvals, etc.

It is impressive how quickly they build things, for sure. But something tells me you'd ***** about the conditions and lack of regulations that would accompany such rapid building in the US for workers, communities, the environment and safety.

If CONGRESS wants to pass infrastructure bills and allocate money for it, btw, then that is CONGRESS' responsibility and right to do so. Not the President. Every President for decades has promised "infrastructure funding" and all the US has received is infrastructure funding for foreign countries.

Imagine how much we would save as far as wear and tear on our highways as well as so many auto accidents! When I was in Europe, I could jump on a train and easily get to the heart of any town or city I wanted.

Are buildings collapsing in China like in the US?

Bridge Collapses why does it continue to happen in US?

Quote:
There are many factors that lead to bridge failures, such as:

Design Defects
Incorrect construction materials
Improper maintenance or repairs
Lack of effective inspections
And what about New Orleans?
Remains of construction worker killed in New Orleans building collapse visible after tarp falls
