I lean conservative and have no problem with this. However, I don't think that this belongs in a library reading time for kindergarteners and that is why I don't vote liberal.

The way I see it, the USA is supposed to be all about expanding rights to more Americans, not picking out certain groups and telling them, "Not you guys!"

Maybe that's just me, though.

Then why the slight of hand? “Expanding” the rights a few while taking more broad based rights away from everyone.

What rights do you claim are being taken from everyone?

Over the years, I've noticed that those that carry on about something being repulsive, are often exposed as participants in this very behavior.

My sister used to tell me that if I hitchhiked and the driver says he picked me up to protect me from perverts, jump out the car as 100% of the time, he will turn out to be a pervert.

The number of religious and political leaders who rant about gays only to get caught in homosexual encounters continues to mount.

Based on considerable experience, I suspect that the OP would love to dress up as a woman and cavort about with hummus.

Go for it.

Meh, what a bunch of silly hand-wringing.

I first saw someone in drag back in the mid 1970's where as a child I watched Gilligan trick the headhunters by dressing up as a woman.

I enjoy watching drag queens, in a bar, where they're providing entertainment. With this commercial, I don't care one way or another - go get your wings ready if you don't want to watch it. I do not think drag queens should be coming into schools or libraries, however, to provide reading hour to children.

I always had this stupid idea that companies wanted to target the largest share of the market.
Foolish me.

Drag queens are an INSULT to women.

As a conservative leaning southern baptist female, I think drag queens are entertaining and fascinating, not insulting at all.

Good grief people, lighten up.

IDK, unless there is a criminal element I applaud anyone who is willing to donate their time to read to children.

I think the issue lies in the fact that many of those programs are supported, in say, public libraries or public schools by tax dollars in one for or another, so I can understand where some parents don't think that is appropriate for their children.

Of course, a parent could choose not to send their child to that particular reading in a library, but overall, it's seen as quite a divisive issue that really is unnecessary.
