That giant sucking sound... USMCA was written by the corporations, for the corporations. Pelosi managed to get some minimal concessions but too little to make any positive difference for American workers.
Why did Pelosi pass it through the House then ? Besides she hates America which seems to be a democrat requirement to formulate or pass legislation more often than not !!!

With the exception of Canada buying more U.S. milk products, there was very little difference between NAFTA and USMCA. Nothing I've read said it will make any impact on outsourcing.
Pelosi did get some minimal concessions, a few percentage points here and there, but basically it's the same NAFTA deal that Trump and the minions carried on about being so horrible for American workers.
Trump has made pursuing new trade deals a signature of his presidency and one of his key promises as a political candidate.
It's NAFTA revisited. So there was a building built 40 years ago. They have decided to update it to make it in keeping with today's world........so they tweak it -- the framework is that exact same framework that existed before with improvements made by all three countries.
Biggest trade deal ever.....lolololololo....that's what they said about NAFTA.

Ya, but all your posts predict the sky will fall if Trump gets his way, and you are wrong each and every time...

So where is the logic in your idea/statement and laughter ?
It was the biggest trade deal when it was originally made !!!
Its now remade and in areas expanded !!! There is no bigger trade deal and if there was why not tell us all what it is ? Because you can't is the only answer !!!
Size matters say some, and others not, but if that is the issue or biggest complaint its the loser of least importance !!!
Requires a slightly larger part of autos to be built by workers who make 16 bucks or better per hour. Also, requires Mexico to change laws that make it hard to unionize (done). The idea is that this will incentivize American manufacturers to make more in the US. That's doubtful as it still would be far cheaper to produce in Mexico. Unions could complicate things though. We'll see Another provision is to open up the Canadian market to American dairy a bit more than it is already. Dairy farmers are going belly up in the US midwest, but selling a little more in Canada is not going to save them. The problem is that dairy consumption is falling and the USMCA won't change that.
Extends intellectual property rights to 70 years from 50. That won't have any impact on you and me that I can see. It's something the corps wanted.
And that is about the long and the short of it.
I suppose it would do no good to point out that the U.S. already enjoyed a trade surplus in dairy with Canada buying almost 6 times as much from the U.S. as it was selling to the U.S...
I further must then guess Americans are not going to be happy with any trade deal that doesn't result in them wiping out the opposition entirely. No one will be surprised.
