Manchin may change parties. Every Democratic candidate is on record as supporting wiping out the fossil fuel industry in WV.

My thoughts exactly and they would be smart to vote against impeachment considering they represent pretty red states. Though I think this entire thing is stupid and certainly do not think the president should be impeached, I do also feel sadness when I think a congress person would vote against what they believe to get re-elected. Am I naive? Not really, I know they do, I just think it is sad.

again, you are not understanding the rules as they are supposed to be played: innocent until proven guilty. Nothing has been proven that would call for impeachment. Think long and hard about this and just remember, you will get your chance at the ballot box in Nov. to express your total dislike for our president as well as your total dislike for Republicans period. This is how our system works even in CA.

Then what is he? Are you a lawyer? Am I a lawyer?? Why don't you admit what Trump says means nothing as either he lies or he doesn't know what he's talking about

Third president in history to be impeached. First president to ever be impeached in his first term. President with the lowest approval ratings in history. Scam impeachment and trial by the GOP to keep their seats. The same GOP that called him racist and a bigot. That sums up his presidency and legacy.

She is one of the fairest and most sensible reps CA has. I may be a staunch Republican, I may not everything she does but I have always though she uses her head. Good for her and she would not be doing this based on what would get her votes. Heck, I am surprised she hasn't retired.. Just checked her age: She will be 86 this year.
