Yes, rush hour commuters make up the majority of commuters during a 2 hour window on each end, but the other 20 hours? Majority minority. And since the fare jumping doesn't typically occur during rush hours, it stands to reason that most fare-beaters match the ridership.

I don't know why but it reminds me of some memes about excessive police force and gun control.

It wasn't a riot because of excessive police force. The additional transit police were hired to improve quality of life in the subway and to decrease ticket evasion.

Quite a stretch to call that excessive government authority and intrusion.

Why assume animals like this, vote?
because a betting person would be able to confidently say these are most likely Bernie/Warren "we want everything free" voters...IOW far, far left liberals

The police in NYC should just call out sick for about 2 weeks and let these twits see what life without them is like.

All the additional police resources should be directed at Wall St. That's where the real crime and money is.

Paying someone 42k a year (starting NYC transit police salary) to write 85$ tickets makes no sense.

I like the posters saying that this was just normal protest of government injustice....”which is as American as apple pie.”

Is THAT why they called it the “F*#K SH*T UP Day”??
lol

Saying "f" the police is nothing new, and it started with the hip hop group N.W.A, specifically the song of the same title, in 1988. Animosity towards the police is nothing new, going back to the 1950s and 60s, mostly coming out of the Black population.
