I know that we live in an cultural and social crisis in which the world is viewed in the lenses of black, women, LGBT, indigenous, Islam and undocumented migrant. And in such world view, those are marginalized are good while being white, being straight, being Christian and being male are all negatives. In the school of Anglo Saxon Social Justice which is a secular religion mainly in white Anglo Saxon nations (5 EYES). The thought process of social justice back dates a persons wrong doing and puts them in the frame of today's morality crafted by illiberals of modern Anglo Saxon Academics. Example Columbus was good, but when Social Justice back dates such person, he is now viewed as evil via his actions, likewise for the founding fathers of America.

The same thought process of social justice in the frame of the metoo movement has come for Kobe Bryant who died in an horrific aerial accident less than two weeks ago. Gayle King did an interview with Lisa Leslie who was a former WNBA player for the LA Sparks and was a good friend of Kobe. Gayle King ask Lisa Leslie a question about Kobe being a sexual deviant for his role in 2003 sex allegations. Leslie responded back with grace and respect towards Kobe. Now Gayle King has received a backlash, and some call for her firing to ask a question about a man that has done good, redeemed himself. And last to tarnish Kobe reputation by using and back dating the metoo movement to todays standards to an event that happened nearly 20 years ago.

Kobe is dead. What justice can you get from a dead man by back dating today's moral standards to an event that happened nearly 20 years ago? Not only that, but it seems to be that Gayle King wants to paint Kobe as a Black Brute, and as a Black Sexual Deviant which are both all too common in the Black American community. A good example of such is R Kelly.

And last. MSM. I understand that MSM wants to defend the integrity of marginalized people like blacks, women and LGBT. But their can be a backlash by wider if these so called pretend to be woke MSM does or says something out of line and instead of receiving a positive feedback loop, instead receives a negative feedback loop. This is what happened to Gayle King. What are your thoughts. Did Gayle deserve the backlash, or just society is taking it too far, and does the metoo movement and social justice have limits especially when someone is dead?

That question was perfectly sensible and perfectly called for, given that he was accused of rape, with substantial evidence. Why shouldn't that part of his life be questioned? Because he could throw a ball through a hoop?

Anyone who criticized King for this is a hypocrite.

You know, I actually like Gayle King from how I've seen her conduct herself in her interviews. She may very well (likely) be a far left loon, but she at least generally appears to be impartial, unlike most of the MSM. For this reason, I do not have the typical "you reap what you sow" attitude to the response that she's getting. That said, the responses she's getting are still disgusting, with people like Snoop Dog calling her a "*****" and worse. Funny, leftists would be calling out a conservative celebrity for "sexism" if he used similar language

Moving on, its a sad state of affairs when someone gets attacked for speaking the truth. When OJ Simpson dies, please don't tell me that it will now be unfair and an "attack" to talk about his murder trial

When OJ dies. At least white racist and feminist can agree on something even though both echo chambers oppose each other. Lol.

Although I’m no fan of Gayle, this country’s obsession with athletes being worshipped as gods is ludicrous. Yeah he was a talented player who seemingly turned his life around, good for him. But, when you reach celebrity status, expect to be under a microscope, that is simply reality. Gayle did not commit heresy for bringing up the past but, because he attained this worship status she should be ashamed? The man is dead, can we move on yet?

Apparently we're supposed to ignore a rape because the rapist is 1) black, and 2) can dribble.

Now, how about Cosby? He is a highly successful black man. Do we have to ignore his history of rape and sexucal assault because of that? To not tarnish the reputation of a black man and leader?

If not-why? Oh wait-the difference is at some point in his life Cosby identified as a conservative (given his criminal acts-not something conservatives are proud of). Up until that point though-he was identified by both sides as a great guy....long after rumors of his sexual abuses had been circulating.

Cosby has finally gotten what he deserves-both in terms of prison time, and contempt the public feels for him. Too bad for him that he didn't play basketball, I guess.
