I know I'm late to the party on this, but I didn't see a thread for it, so I thought it would be good to discuss this.

From her Twitter account:

"After much deliberation, I have decided that I will not use my presence at a state ceremony to normalize Trump’s lawless conduct & subversion of the Constitution," the freshman Democratic congresswoman from New York tweeted Tuesday afternoon. "None of this is normal, and I will not legitimize it. Consequently, I will not be attending the State of the Union."

Seriously, who the hell does she think she is? Between her latest comments on ICE, urging people to speak up if they see them in their community, and this remark, I honestly don't see her being in politics for much longer. She's already said and done enough idiotic things that destroyed any hope of her being reelected, but unless she does or says something that can outdo the stupidity laced in her comments about the SOTU, I truly feel like this is the final nail in her coffin.

The occasional member of the opposing party skips SOTU in protest and in doing so add to the theatric spectacle.

Here’s one who did so in 2012 because of his opposition to deficit spending.

She holds a lot of influence and power over her party, and Nancy Pelosi.

The Democrats seem to think she is the future.

Thus, why their party is failing at most everything they do currently.

Trump has absolutely broken them and folks like AOC have led the party down the wrong path.

I wouldn’t be surprised if AOC was the one who told Nancy Pelosi to tear up the papers at the end of Trump’s speech.

LOL

AOC does nothing on her own. Her Globalist, Elitist backers didn't want her there.

LOL I can believe that. They are already showing photographic evidence that suggests she made little tears in each one for practice before the speech was over. Pence is saying she did that so she could easily rip them up at the end.

She's too concerned with living in that small brain of hers. She's stuck in her own idiotic world and doesn't want to hear it from anyone that can challenge her, especially when facts and hard evidence are provided. I honestly don't see her returning for another term.

I am happy each time AOC opens her mouth and shows America what the "New Democratic" Party looks like.

Classic narcissism. Illusions of grandeur combined with an inability to recognize any shortcomings. (And if someone dares point out a shortcoming.....watch out!)
