James Carville knows how to win elections for the Democrats.
He really does.
He knows more about the nefarious in-fighting and dark-arts election chicanery than probably anyone else.
And what he is saying is that unless the Democrats get themselves off the ropes and stop being pummelled by handing freebies to Donald Trump they're a walking disaster for this November.
Whatever your Democrat bent you should read this.
You really should.
But given how the Democrats have conjured defeat out of every victorious opportunity handed to them since Trump was elected I doubt you will.
Still.
Worth a couple of minutes of your time.

I saw the interview. It's interesting to see the interpretation from different folks - same with the Van Jones comments.

Did the Dems conjure a defeat in 2018.

Not sure that is completely accurate.

Here in my district -- a Republican stronghold for over 30 years.....a Democrat won the seat in the house. Even with the lovely (being sarcastic here ) Republican candidate pledging her undying allegiance to Trump. Not sure that was a defeat to the Dems.

But yes....Carville says stick to the issues, don't get in the mud with Trump .......EXACTLY!!!!!!!!!!
I agree

I wasn't just stick to the issues it was get back to the basics that matter. Stop with the health bennies for illegals, college debt forgiveness also isn't a winning issue for people. Convicted felons in jails having the right to vote isn't a winning issue. Those were a couple of things cited in that article.

In other words, the Dems have to chill on the boutique issues and get back to kitchen table bread and butter stuff if they want to win.
