Whoever it is that primaries Romney in 2024 - if he even runs again - will surely want to make a campaign ad against him based on this. What a killer. The guy should resign tomorrow morning, first thing.

From the Huffington Post:

Mitt Romney Gets Standing Ovation At Democratic Presidential Debate

Sen. Mitt Romney (R-Utah) received a standing ovation at the Democratic presidential primary debate here on Friday after Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-Minn.) cited his “courage” in voting to convict President Donald Trump on the impeachment charge of abuse of power.

Romney was the only GOP senator who broke with his party by voting Wednesday to remove Trump from office over his dealings with Ukraine. The president and his allies subsequently lashed out at the senator by questioning his faith and calling him nasty names.

The democrats have come a long way from 2012 when they called him an evil corporate raider.

And yes, you are right -- Romney has nothing to be proud of here, he stabbed Trump in the back, all because he didn't get a job in his administration.

Guess Sen Romney’s “courageous vote” trumped his animal cruelty, being a homophobic teenager prankster, being a murderer by proxy, running for President while being Republican and Oooh, being rich.

EDIT: Thx to BeerGeek40 for adding to the Democrat’s compendium of hypocrisy. Sen. Romney was also an eveel corporate raider in 2012. He is not now in progressive liberal folkloric hypocrisy.

Romney gave a lot to that performance, he was like Halle Berry in Monster's Ball.

Well, Romney certainly earned the support of people who view him as being a sexist, racist homophobe who was going to "pull y'all back in chains."

It was a good moment to genuinely rise above partisanship.

Romney knew his vote wouldn't matter. It was a weak, pathetic gesture.

My money is still on Romney coming in and running as a Democrat. Lets face it-the current crop of candidates defines the term "clown car". As it crashes and burns the party will be desperate for someone with a hint of respectability to show up and save them from utter humiliation in November.

And he didn't deserve a position in the administration. Since day one he has shown his dislike for Trump; dislike is a nice way of saying how he really feels about him. Of course he probably has not gotten over his 2012 loss either. I have pretty much lost all respect for him.

The Democrats reveal their utter hypocrisy daily. They all demonized McCain, Bush, and Romney when they were running as the Republican Presidential nominee. Now they are heroes to the Democrats as they oppose Trump because he is a way more successful President then they ever could be. Plus, they are all Progressive GLOBALISTS.
