That sounds nice (and I'm not opposed to that for people brought here as children who are now grown and are otherwise contributing to our society, but the border has to be secured first), but I'm also about the rule of law. I don't want to reward adults who knowingly broke the law and lived in our country illegally with some expedited pathway to citizenship. Thus, the point would be making them adhere to the same rules and laws as anyone else applying for citizenship.

We already have several work visas for jobs we need additional workers for so what are you talking about? We don't need these millions of poor, unskilled and uneducated illegal aliens from south of our border to do any work in our country.

I don't want illegal aliens to get legal status and least of all our citizenship as they thumbed their noses at our immigration laws and we don't need them anyway! Americans need their jobs back, we need to alleviate the crowded conditions they have caused and the added depletion of our natural and social resources. They would always be a tax burden as they have large families and low paying jobs. Legalizing them would allow them to tap into our welfare coffers. Their income tax liability would be little to nothing so they wouldn't be adding anything much to our tax coffers. They'd still be sending billions out of our country back to their homelands to.

If legal immigrants have to wait in their countries to come here legally then illegal aliens should be required to do so also. No pass on our soil just because they managed to sneak into our country and evade detection for many years while committing felony ID theft to gain work here. We have annual quotas for legal immigration for good reasons. Amnestying and legalizing millions of illegal aliens would just negate those sane quotas for years to come. Not fair to legal immigrants who waited and came here the right way either.

Once again, the point sailed cleanly over your head. Their very presence is a continuous violation of law. Their working is a violation of law. That’s two obvious laws they are violating. Hardly crime free.
