Nothing? We will never know because neither side allowed testimony from all witnesses. Neither side put their party loyalty to the side and put their nation first. The dems used it as a weapon. The GOP used the state as a shield.
I don't believe, based upon the evidence presented, that Trump did enough wrong to warrant impeachment. I also struggle with trust of the Democrats given the fact they threatened impeachment almost from the start of Trump's presidency. They kept moving the goal posts during the impeachment proceedings. WE would never allow that during an actual trial. They refused to hear rebuttals or rebuttal witnesses. Talk about a kangaroo court.
Bothsides did the same thing when it was their turn. They forfeited any moral high ground, and demonstrated that they have 0 integrity.

Well, what happened at the trial itself is irrelevant, isn't it? My point was that if Trump had never initiated that call with Zelensky on July 25 and asked for the favor, then the words "impeach Trump" would never have come from Pelosi's lips on Sept. 24th of last year. Please recall that prior to the July 25th call Pelosi's position was, "I don't want to impeach Trump. He's not worth it."

Trump will go down in history as having been Impeached. Doesn't matter if the Senate acquitted him or not. This will be his legacy just like Clinton. Clinton was humble and accepted the decision of the house and senate. Trump was smug and defiant and is retaliating. And Trump is no alpha male. He's insecure and needs constant accolades.
