You are conflating autocratic Communism with Socialism, which is a frequent error. Most first-world countries have some socialistic components, including the US. Examine Scandinavia. Socialism when combined with capitalism is a recipe for success.

Socialism is socialism, no matter what language you cloak it in.

What you are describing in the US is not socialism.

Socialism is just a word righties throw around to scare people. McConnell used the word to describe the bill to get rid of the law prohibiting the government from negotiating drug prices. It worked. It was a lie, but all of them lie.

Bernie wants to emulate Denmark, not Venezuela. Denmark wont happen either.

Anyone who thinks Bernie is socialist for wanting free education and healthcare must think the centrist government in Scotland is Socialist. Because that’s exactly what we have. Americans political spectrum is so skewed to the far right that they think a bloody bog standard centre/centre left politician like Sanders is ****ing Stalin reincarnated! It’s absolutely bewildering to see.

Look at the birth rates in those quasi socialist countries in Northern Eurpope. NOBODY's having kids because the taxes are so high they cannot afford them, or are putting off having them to much later in life.

Finland's is so low, they imported pregnant Russian women by paying them to move to Finland.
