Most party members dont vote in the primaries when their party have an incumbent without a challenger, which is also why the incumbent presidents typically dont campaign in their party primaries.
It does kinda scare me that the president of the United States is so unhinged, and that there are people who worship him. Sad!
Us Trumpers LOVE "unhinged" because it scares the heck out of the Liberals, and Socialists. They have no idea what Trump might do to them.
The radical left is so scared, they are looking for rocks to crawl under, like back in the Joseph McCarthy 2nd Red Scare days.
Soon, they'll have the moderate Dems, and Independents after them too. Pelosi's already going after AOC with the new challanger AOC has in her re-election bid. AOC's toast.
Awesome showing for a sitting president. I wonder how much of that was attributed to his visit there or the people are genuinely that enthused? Trump is riding high now, if the economy doesn't waver too much before re-election it should be smooth sailing for President Trump in November. But of course in politics that's a lifetime away.
This should scare the hell out of any hard core republican:
Trump has 119,149 votes.
Just the top 3 democratic candidates have 73,470, 69,216 and 55,982 votes, for a total of 198,668.
Trump is going to get clobbered.
There were a similar total of votes cast for the top 3 Republican candidates in 2012, when only 49,000 Dems bothered turning out for incumbent Obama. Incumbents don't typically draw the numbers that Trump brought in. The challenging party always does. This means something.
So, you think that Bernie Sanders is going to win in November 2020?
If he is nominated, I suspect he will, albeit in a close race.
One thing he will do successfully is steal away a decent portion of Trump's lesser-educated white voters. With people like that, they're more interested in somebody who is a "screw the establishment" populist than in somebody who is left or right, per se. In that category, Sanders out-Trumps Trump.
