You register your car, you buy a license for your car, you must show the government your birth certificate before you can take a driving test to make sure you can drive your car, you purchase insurance for your car. No one is asking you to give up your guns, but perhaps people should take gun ownership privileges as seriously as they do their cars.
It's not because of the car itself that you have to register it, license it, etc. It's because you want to use it on public roads. If you operate a vehicle solely on your own property, you don't need to deal with licenses, insurance, etc.
Oh, and there's that pesky thing called the Constitution, in which the right (not the "privilege") to keep and bear arms is recognized as one that shall not be infringed.

The vast majority of gun transactions require a background check as do concealed carry permits, even though owning and carrying a gun is a RIGHT GUARANTEED by the Constitution. I think government has already over stepped its bounds.
What about all the criminals that get their guns illegally, and/or are already Felons, and prohibited by law from even touching a gun? Just punishing the law abiding will fix them?

Troll post?
And what are American citizens expected to do, if Govt oversteps its bounds by creating laws and regulations like this?

Critically missing that all the things you list only applies to use on public roads. You can own a car, drive it without registration, insurance, license, just not on public roads.

I've been fingerprinted, back ground checked, then BC checked again at the moment of sale, handguns are registered with the state and take a training class every 5 years. I also, on my own dime spend $100's a year to train.

Incorrect. Driving a motor vehicle is a privilege, owning a gun is not, it's a constitutional right. Big difference, so the two can't be comparable scenarios.

What other constitutional rights do you think Americans should be unable to exercise without a license and insurance?
Please list them.
