What's homophobic is to act like most Americans agree with that sentiment, without any real evidence to back it up.
The number of people who have anything against gay people are literally decreasing every day, dying the death that homophobia deserves.
There is strong evidence that the people the most "disgusted" by seeing two gay men share affection are typically hiding latent homosexual tendencies themselves.

So by that logic, if one is disgusted and find pedophilia disturbing, they have pedophilia tendencies. Utter Freudian nonsense.
Heteronormativity and prejudice against male homosexuality is deeply ingrained in our culture, so it's not surprising many people experience physiological arousal. That doesn't make expressing disgust right or decent.
My entire liberal family, relatives and friends have stated a few times that they will not vote for a gay President. Personally, as a Conservative, i couldn’t care less and have never saw Pete other than just another guy. I actually like gay guys (for every 1 gay guy, they take 2-3 other men out of the dating pool looking for a woman; single straight guys should be grateful, Lol).

As for two gay men kissing, most kissing we see on television is heterosexual kissing, so gay kissing is widely considered abnormal.
