Trump slipped up yesterday and ended up rebuking Limbaugh's recent statement that Trump would "have fun with" Pete Buttigieg's sexual orientation. Trump said he would have no problem voting for a gay presidential candidate, and that Buttigieg's sexual orientation didn't seem to be hurting him.
You see, occasionally Trump goes off script and forgets that he's supposed to be a demagogue for religious extremists and uneducated white males who still think Rush Limbaugh's veiled homophobia is amusing.
Opinion:
We all know by now that all......and I mean all.............politicians sway back and forth in rough waters.
When the waters calm so will focus on the questions at hand. My concern? Gas prices and pensions.
Seem to all be doing fine.....................
Or he is not, as many of his supporters keep trying to point out, the racist homophobic person the media and Democrats keep trying to convince everyone he is. Maybe, just maybe, like most humans, his belief systems don’t neatly fit in a pre-determined package of good and evil, but vary depending on the topic.
I think Trump is a narcissistic jackass with no filter, I do not think he is racist or homophobic. The man is a true equal opportunity jerk, anyone and everyone is equally likely to be the target of his vile attacks.
I don't think Trump is himself particularly racist or homophobic (I'll grant that he's an intelligent, cosmopolitan New Yorker, not some backwoods yokel clinging to his Bible as interpreted by his 9th grade education), but he certainly has no problem courting the votes of racists and homophobes, and to enact elements of their agenda.
This shows a man without a great deal of moral/ethical principles. He says one thing, then can do something completely different. We might as well have a Magic 8 Ball for president.
Not unless you think Handmaid's Tale is a political manifesto.
Trump needs to get back on script. First he says Alabama's draconian abortion laws are wrong, now he says there's nothing wrong with a president being gay.... he doesn't sound like what his evangelical fundamentalist base says he is.
Perhaps we saw a bit of Trump's true beliefs, and he's merely playing white evangelicals for fools.
There's no script. Again... you are projecting.
I know who he is. He is better than anything the opposition can offer... not even close...

Nice try.
In order to run a covert op and execute the principle "A house divided against itself will fall" one has to be cunning.
His fragile eggshell ego demands constant strokes; he HAS to be the center of attention, constantly. He'll say whatever in the second will get him that badly needed attention.
He's gonna have a hard time adjusting to life away from DC and out of the spotlight.

So no matter what he says or does, he's still a "rAcIsT" and a "HoMoPhObE."

Did you think same of Obama when he was for gay marriage, then against it, then for it again?
When he don't have the oval office to protect him, a lot of his time will probably be spent in court .... or jail.
He'll continue to be entertaining (and damaging to the GOP) after he leaves office.
