People never seem to understand slavery was a world wide issue for a few thousand years. It spread to the new world. It took a few generations but the new world evolved into the United States and squashed slavery to the tune of 3/4 of a million lives.
It seems to me that the institution responsible for ending slavery is being held accountable for thousands of years slave trade.

Again, I’m not getting into the White male as victim stuff. That’s not my fight. As a black man, they won’t get any sympathy from me because white makes don’t give a damn when the axe falls on a black man’s neck. When Philando Castile was killed by that cop, White male conservatives made every excuse in the book as to why he deserved to be killed. All of a sudden, being a legal gun owner meant nothing. The NRA, a White male bastion, gave him no support. They wanted to stand with the overwhelmingly white law enforcement organizations.
As to riots, they’re a proven effective tool. Especially for minority groups. Blacks aren’t taken serious unless a very dangerous, scary and costly conflagration happens. That’s the truth no matter what anyone says.
The only reason why major civil rights progress happened in the 60’s was because the United States was sitting on a powder keg. A decade earlier, the Emmitt Till situation didn’t move white Americans one bit. Hell, neither did the Birmingham Church Bombing for that matter. 4 girls dead, and whites were prepared to keep the status quo.
