Instead there are is a certain percentage that look to milk the social welfare system made available to them by the liberal left (hoping to trade national sovereignty and our cultural future) for future votes for the socialist agenda, right?

Yet these same leftists would not dare invite an MS13 gang-banger into their home, for fear of what would likely happen to them personally.

I'm a leftist idiot because I oppose inefficient use of government resources? Heh, right. We already have institutions for dealing with gangs. Gangs exist in non-Sanctuary cities as well. Are we sending border guards to deal with them as well? No? This is political posturing.

So you don't think both can be true? You don't think anyone on welfare could also be in a gang or engaging in illegal activity? That's right--people who are desperate for money and have no tax ID are all so pure of heart they would NEVER commit fraud or engage in illegal activity to get by.

If there were no such thing as a federal or state income tax, we would not care too much about immigration, because it would not be illegal like 130 years ago.

If could not ID them or found that they are illegal they notified ICE after they served their time for whatever they got picked up for - say drunk driving - so ICE had 48 hrs to see about that person. That’s the detainer time frame. If ICE does not show - he is let lose. State gets their arrest- judge and time served or acquittal. Up to Feds to follow up. The disconnect is ICE does not respond. 2 -locals are not interested in the legal status of the culprit, only following up on the state charge. The Feds wanting for locals to do a bigger part is not functioning - specially in large cities where they have hundreds of new arrests in a week. Follow the money.
No, that's not what's happening. Sanctuary jurisdictions ban ICE from their jails, and completely ignore their detainer requests, and let criminal aliens free without even notifying ICE.
