Just like everyone really liked Pres. Harding, until he died, and his life opened up like a peeled banana.

After his death, a number of scandals—including Teapot Dome—came to light, as did his extramarital affair with Nan Britton; each eroded his popular regard. Harding is often rated as one of the worst presidents in historical rankings.
I bet Harding is rejoicing that his dishonor is going to Trump.
Trump fears are, if he does not get re-elected, the state of NY is going to put him in prison.
So, he is doing everything he can to get re-elected and try to pardon himself.(edit-statue of limitations)
