Given Michael Bloomberg's comments regarding who should be stopped and frisked, and Trump having said he supports Stop & Frisk (and called for it to be expanded nationwide), what do you think? Should it be expanded throughout the USA?

By the way, I will chime in, and I'm not holding back on what I say.

Absolutely not, the courts put a stop to it in NY and they were correct to do so.

End all warrantless searches.

Innocent until proven guilty here, you should not be required to proactively prove your innocence to law enforcement.

Same way I feel. By the way, there is a poll added to this thread.

It is unconstitutional.

i think it likely does reduce crime but at the cost of peoples civil liberties. So no. We can end the vast amount of crime if we all are willing to give up a lot of our rights but i think that is not a Nation that i would want to live in.

And this is just another opinion of mine. It isn't as effective as some people think. When most of the people frisked weren't breaking any laws, it's not that effective.

Does that include warrantless arrests?

It's not as effective as many people would think. Crime in NYC was dropping before S&F was started. Furthermore, most who got stopped and frisked were not found to have committed any offenses. It turned into people getting their rights violated. Civil liberties were violated. If this was expanded nationwide, it would not be pretty.

Anyone with the "I've got nothing to hide" mentality needs a swift proctology exam by the SWAT team commander.

Just to make sure there isn't a crackpipe up your own.

You can't require a warrant for arrest because there is plenty of behavior a police officer could witness that would justify arrest. Surely if I get pulled over for driving drunk and fail a sobriety test, you wouldn't argue that because the officer does not possess a court order for my arrest I should be allowed to continue on my way drunk to my destination.
