Something like 1 in 20,000 males have no Y chromosome, and I think there is some kind of disorder where females can have a Y chromosome. So because of these extreme exceptions, we must tear our entire civilization down and start over, said the left.
I think the current policy (having the sports leagues set their own rules on this with the participation of student athletes) is the right way to deal with this. The best and most fair solutions can be arrived at quicker than legislation.
While I generally agree that legislation should be "last resort", the issue seems ...
1. The leagues bend over trying to be PC, to oversimplify.
2. When trans aren't accepted into the circumstances they desire - be that competing against gender, or ability to use bathrooms/locker rooms, etc they choose - then they file lawsuits.
It's probably why we hear of "trans backlash" etal creating the LGBTQIA (if I've got that right) from the LGB crowd.
What is an "Acceptable" or "legal" transperson?

They're a certain age?
They begin HRT?
They have HRT for a certain period of time, theoretically agreed-upon by doctors that renders them equivalent to their chosen gender?

And the Social Experiment always leads to Totalitarian Oppression. If not, they say the fix "just wasn't Progressive enough". That's why the big push to only to disarm the law abiding.
