Except the NBA isn't losing it's fanbase.

NASCAR today isn't what it was back in the 90s. That's a simple fact. The average NASCAR fan age has also been creeping up indicating that the brand isn't connecting with the younger generation. The average age of NASCAR viewers in 2016 was 58 years old.

Younger people don't vote, however.

this reminds me of an Apprentice episode where each team had to do a spectacular event. Can you imagine one of teams was suppposed to do the whole event, and they came up with this.. it just reminds me of The Apprentice.

The pics I saw of fans in stands showed significant number of thumbs down being directed towards the cameras.

Maybe the rubes aren't all as dumb as Trump thinks.

I think its great that Trump showed up for the Daytona 500 when invited.

I don't think its a waste of tax dollars when Presidents celebrate with other Americans.

Show me anything I've ever said to the contrary.

That's likely why Nascar went with their youth movement, an attempt to satisfy advertisers with younger drivers, and all they did was blow up their sport.

I think people (myself included) overestimate middle America's support of Trump.
