What a bunch of baloney.

He advocates for Medicare-for-all which is a more right wing version of health care than plenty of countries with universal health care. Providers of care will still be private, unlike other countries.

The fact that you actually believe a public safety net is not socialist but Medicare-for-all is communist is just crazy.

Republicans have a long, disreputable history of conflating any attempt to improve American lives with the evils of "socialism." When Medicare was first proposed, Ronald Reagan called it "socialized medicine," and he declared that it would destroy our freedom. These days, if you call for something like universal child care, conservatives accuse you of wanting to turn America into the Soviet Union. It's a smarmy, dishonest political strategy, but it's hard to deny that it has sometimes been effective.
it's not "scaring"- it is simply reading and understanding history, which libs fail to do, time and time again.

Ask anyone who has lived in a communist/socialist nation and you will get an eye opening, rude awakening to the evils of socialism. Of course, dull witted Americans who pine for socialism seem to pine to experience it themselves. I, on the other hand, can read that if one sticks your hand into a fire, you will get burned; I don't need to directly experience the misery.

3/4 of our budget goes to social safety nets
That sounds highly suspicious to me, especially since people pay into Social Security, which is most of what your are calling social safety nets. Besides, what's better for a society to invest in than it's own people??

It's scaring, exaggerating and lying, which is what conservatives do about everything.

Mike,

you keep confusing communism and socialism

socialism the government owns and runs all

communism, the workers own and run (but there is still a "leadership" all business

yes Social Security insurance is part of the social safety nets

and 3/4 of our budget is for social safety net programs

M4A will kill the taxpayer, and the middleclass

UNLESS SOME MAJOR CHANGES TO how Medicare is defined and programmed...

you will be paying higher taxes...

and

you will be paying your 20%.... medicare is a 80/20 insurance

and

you will face the multitude of denials of service, IAW medicare rules....ie...medicare will not pay for disc replacement in your back...medicare will not pay for knee replacement if they deem it not a medical necessity...and when they do, you are still responsible for your 20% (a TKR will cost 50k-ish... so you will be on the hook for 10k for one knee)

medicare also will not cover certain prescription medicines either...so you will have to become smart on other choices of that particular type of script

also...

medicare has never covered long term care (nursing homes etc)...and Medicaid only would cover them once you have no assets...if M4A eliminates Medicaid, then all long tern care will be strictly out of pocket

also on the same note as to Medicaid.... the poor, who WERE on Medicaid, will now have a cost (20%, plus the medicare deductible) that they did not have under Medicaid.....so the poor will be screaming bloody murder

and m4a will cost 5+ trillion annually is NEW SPENDING
