If you think it's fine, then continue to support and go ahead and vote for Trump. I support much of what Trump has done, but this is a step too far and he should be called out on it. He, like all other people, is not perfect, and we do not need to rubberstamp every single action he takes with approval.
Would you be OK with it if he let them sentence the guy to whatever they wanted and then pardoned him in December?

Maybe Trump thinks the guy did something criminal and deserves to have some prison time, but if they make is excessive, he will have to just pardon the guy. Perhaps he thinks the guy should do three years. However if they sentence him to some absurd sentence he will have to let him out now. Frankly, I do not see how this crime warrants any actual prison time given what they sentence serious criminals to. I look at Epstein for an example. He pled guilty to prostituting underage girls and was sentenced to 18 months. But they want to sentence someone to 9 years or more for white collar crimes? That is pretty insane.

If Trump was interfering with the judiciary, it would be concern. I am not sure how he would interfere with the judiciary he has no authority over them. If the complaint is trump is interfering with prosecutors who are members of the executive branch - well that is the job we hired him to do. He is the boss of the executive branch. So, yes, he can say stick to the sentencing guidelines for your recommendations or you might get fired.

So much so. Thats the title of the book.

Just some of his dealings. You could go on and on with these.

"Deutsche Bank helped Mr. Trump’s casino company sell hundreds of millions of dollars in bonds. (The salesmen were rewarded with a trip to Mar-a-Lago.) Mr. Trump’s company defaulted in 2004, leaving Deutsche Bank’s clients with deep losses. The bank’s investment division that sold the bonds vowed to not do business again with Mr. Trump.A year later, though, Mr. Trump approached another part of the investment division for a $640 million loan to build a skyscraper in Chicago. It made the loan, Mr. Trump defaulted and sued Deutsche Bank. That prompted the whole investment division to sever ties with Mr. Trump. "

The executive can pardon anyone for any reason, even if a case is pending.

I'm guessing this will be called fake news?
I love the term the article uses, " spiraling constitutional crisis ". Lol. If Trump wins four more years, will the Left see how impotent it really is?

Republican president George W. Bush pardoned, commuted or rescinded the convictions of 200 people.
Democratic president Barack Obama pardoned 212 people and commuted the sentences of a further 1,715 people.
As of November 15, 2019, Republican president Donald Trump has issued seventeen pardons and six commutations.

(each with their own sources)
So let's see, the Democrat Obama with 212 pardons works out to 26.5 per year. Trump would work out to ~5.6 per year (going by the November date above).

Just to give some numbers on the semi-related pardons argument. Now, cue the "anti-whataboutism" argument

Hmm. Liberal activist judges have their panties in a twist.

I'm shocked.
