The DOJ has assigned a US Attorney to oversee all Ukraine related investigations, and another US Attorney “to assist in the receipt, processing, and preliminary analysis of new information provided by the public that may be relevant to matters relating to Ukraine.”

This last bit is especially interesting. As I recall, Rudi Guliani said he has a whole portfolio full of information, a good bit of it which presumably pertains to the activities of Joe Biden's son in the Ukraine, and perhaps also to Joe Biden himself. Now there is a very clear process for him, or anyone, to submit whatever information they have about these matters to the DOJ.

Justice Department picks US attorney to oversee all Ukraine investigations

A U.S. attorney has been designated to oversee all Ukraine-related investigations by federal prosecutors around the country.

The Justice Department revealed on Tuesday that Richard Donoghue, the U.S. attorney for the Eastern District of New York, was assigned to the task by Deputy Attorney General Jeffrey Rosen. Donoghue will “assist in coordinating … several open matters being handled by different U.S. Attorney’s Offices and Department components that in some way potentially relate to Ukraine," according to a letter sent to the House Judiciary Committee.

The assistant attorney general confirmed Tuesday that Scott Brady, the U.S. attorney for the Western District of Pennsylvania, was assigned by Rosen “to assist in the receipt, processing, and preliminary analysis of new information provided by the public that may be relevant to matters relating to Ukraine.” In a likely reference to Giuliani, Boyd said this was to “protect the integrity of ongoing matters, particularly with respect to unsolicited information offered to the Department.”
The upshot to this is that Biden is falling in the polls so fast that he is very likely going to be out of the race before any of this is acted on publicly, so there will be no legitimate basis to oppose this investigation and whatever comes out of it as a result.
