He is putting someone in place that he can trust.

Experience is useless if they are going to undermine what Trump wants to do... deal with it. There's nothing abnormal here.

Eric Holder has experience ... should he be given the job?

He has betrayed the U.S. - the United Swamp of America.

For the last two decades, Richard Grenell has worked at the highest levels of international affairs and national security. As U.S. ambassador to the country with the largest economy in the EU, Grenell has a ton of successful experience coordinating intel and national security policy. He was the spokesman for the US State Department for years and has vast experience in coordination and dealing with many Departments of the US Government.

Does anyone even understand what the job of Director of US Intelligence actually does??
HINT - he is not a spy. He coordinates that 17 different IC Departments, THEY are the Intelligence experts - The DNI is the head of the Intelligence Community, overseeing and directing the implementation of the National Intelligence Program and acting as the principal advisor to the President, the National Security Council, and the Homeland Security Council for intelligence.

We don't have a Congress to bypass -- we only have a never ending Hysterical Meltdown to Nullify the 2016 Election. The temporary appointment of Rick Grenell must be the correct move because the Leftists and Anti-Trumpers all have exploding heads today.

Being a spokesperson and media guy does not make one a successful coordinator. His principal accomplishments in Germany appear to have been being as undiplomatic as possible to the German government and business communities.

If he’s overseeing 17 Departments, it would probably build confidence if he knew something about intelligence work besides “coordinating”.

Remember when experience counted for something? Because if there is a position where experience matters, I'd say it's director of US intelligence. Because Pearl Harbor, 9/11. But it looks like personal loyalty is more important now. What a joke of a government.

It's not complicated. It's insane. Your "reasoning", that is.

And, yes, the first three years of the Trump administration have shown that loyalty is far more important than experience.

Yes, and I want to build a house and need a general contractor... I remembered that my hairdresser complemented me last week, so I gave her the job.

The head of DNI always has a background in intelligence, his only qualification is that he supported Trump. This is nothing new for this administration as he regularly appoints cabinet heads that shouldn’t be within a thousand miles of DC.

Using your logic he should be the head of defense, he just needs to coordinate. Amazing to watch the gyrations of Trump supporters to defend the indefensible.
