He had a couple moments. When it was actually about policy and not "the blacks, the latinos, women" he said some good things. He nailed it on fracking - do it smarter. He was spot on that the debate they were having up there over medicare for all would give the election to Trump. Bloomberg knows what it takes, that the majority doesn't give a tinker's damn about some remarks he made 40 years ago or his NDAs. Well, maybe it is just me, but I am getting sick of every question being turned into a racial/class issue. Example: Warren's pivot to how energy production has victimized the poor - yada, yada, yada.

I like Bloomberg too. Stop and frisk of Latinos and blacks gave law enforcement the most bang for the buck, Bloomberg knew who the criminals were and what's the problem with some sexist jokes around the water cooler. That's just good clean fun.

Crime enforcement runs on statistics. If the majority of violent/drug crimes in nyc is happening primarily in black/Latino neighborhoods, that’s where the police dept will use most of their resources.

Common sense! No?

Obama bombed in the early debates in both elections. He won both elections.

Hillary, like her or not, is a good debater. She lost the nomination in 2008 and the election, in 2016.

Most people don’t watch debates.

Bloomberg has an opportunity to own it.

Turn the negative to a positive. Own not being the tallest or most likable candidate. Own not being the best debator. Own not being interested in exchanging personal attacks against his fellow Democrats. Own having said some regrettable things in the past. Own, as he has, his Stop & Frisk policy which Trump has historically supported, included while POTUS.

And then get real. Own being self made. Own starting with nothing and doing well financially. Own his philanthropy record. He is not taking PAC/ Super PAC donations. He is using his own $ and can’t be bought. He can’t be bought. Own mistakes. He is not interested in wasting people’s time with plans that are DOA in Congress.

And he is the Democrat’s only hope of beating Trump.

Yang on CNN said it was obvious either Bloomberg didn't have enough time to prepare properly or he chose NOT to prepare. The questions asked were obvious ones. He knew what the attacks would be and did not do well with his response to them. Some are suggesting he might do better 'next time' (February 28th Charleston SC)

I thought it would be interesting to have him as an addition...but really it was pathetic......
Obama bombed in early debates. Remember the first debate with Romney. Obama was brain dead. He was never a solid debater. Nonetheless, he went on to win.

In contrast, Hillary is a good debater. She lost the nomination in 2009 and election in 2016.

Nor can they investigate his Democrat opponents. He is not interested in mud slinging which is not a winning strategy in this election.

The winner of the Democrat nomination will face a guy who took the only female Republican candidate who was in third place, Carley Fiorina, with his “ look at that face. Who would vote for that? “.

The winner of the Democrat nomination will face a guy who blew away his Republican competition with childish nick names- not substance.

The winner of the Democrat nomination will face a guy who built on the Obama economy and sustained it, for the past 3+ years.

Bloomberg does not appear to be interested in playing the social justice victim game.

While this game may win the nomination, the battle, it’s not going to beat Trump, the war.

Democrat debates - Blacks get this, Blacks get that. Illegal Aliens get this, Illegal Aliens get that. Maybe throw in Gays and Women for good measure or as an after thought. Repeat as necessary for the entire campaign.

Democrats lost their nerve and swerved their clown car back towards the center to pick up Trump Lite. Now they’re bickering because he doesn’t fit in. By the time it’s over somebody is going to grab the steering wheel and it’s rollover time.

Buckle up everyone!

He needs to hire a body double with a personality to do his debates for him.
