Elections: American democracy has a problem — a voting problem. According to a new study of U.S. Census data, America has more registered voters than actual live voters. It's a troubling fact that puts our nation's future in peril.

Because people are not automatically removed from the voter rolls when they die.

Its only a problem for the side that benefits less.

So what? That only means individual counties haven't cleaned out their voter rolls in awhile. Sometimes it can take years to get the people who have died or moved away out of the system.

The likelihood that people will drive from one precinct to another to vote twice is pretty slim.

Definitely a non-story. Perhaps if the Republicans are so worried about this issue, they can propose legislation to supply some cash to the states and territories, so that each county can devote some serious manpower to the issue.

Don't worry, Old Glory. When I help illegal Mexicans vote using dead people's identities, I always coach them to toss a few votes to Republicans, just to make it more fair.

Voter registrations are not automatically canceled when someone dies

In addition, voter registrations are not automatically canceled when someone moves and registers elsewhere

Tiffany Trump
Jared Kushner
Steve Bannon
Steven Mnuchin
Sean Spicer

were all registered in more than one state

Provide some documentation of actual voter fraud and then people will care, rather than some Chicken Little article from 2017 that is meaningless

Maybe the dead people will vote for the person that finally "gets it right" this time.

Why won't the democrats allow voter rolls be purged that include dead people and people who have moved? They call it "voter suppression".

Because the purges are not usually due to people moving and dying.

Some have removed people because they didn't happen to vote in the last election, for example.
