There is a difference.
If they are legalized citizens they will get the benefits that every other citizen gets.

You bet I am. That's my money they took.

And how does that make it a monopoly today?

Where are you getting that from? I am on Medicare and they have never said anything about my treatment or my wife's. And she had a very expensive treatment a couple of years ago.

No doubt you quite strongly prefer private insurance companies that are profit driven to decide for your medical treatment.

And yet you support his idea to flood this country with uneducated, unskilled third world immigrants and "refugees", which will harm low skilled American workers.

That's because they don't know how much it will cost them.
Quote:
Based on the education level of illegal immigrants, the NAS figures project that the net fiscal cost (benefits minus taxes) for 10 million adult illegal immigrants after receiving amnesty would have a net present value of negative $1.29 trillion.
Quote:
However, a rough estimate of future net outlays to be paid by taxpayers (in constant 2012 dollars) for illegal immigrants after amnesty is around $3.6 trillion over 75 years.
https://www.dailysignal.com/2016/11/...ort-indicates/

This study puts the cost even higher.
Quote:
An exhaustive study by the Heritage Foundation has found that after amnesty, current unlawful immigrants would receive $9.4 trillion in government benefits and services and pay more than $3 trillion in taxes over their lifetimes. That leaves a net fiscal deficit (benefits minus taxes) of $6.3 trillion. That deficit would have to be financed by increasing the government debt or raising taxes on U.S. citizens.

These costs don't include the flood of new illegal aliens that will come in, hoping for another amnesty, like we saw after the 1986 amnesty. A study done in 1997 concluded that in the first ten years alone, every legalized immigrant cost American taxpayers $47,924 (2020 dollars). https://cis.org/Report/Cost-IRCA-Amnesty-After-10-Years

This article quotes British, Canadian, and Danish studies that show that immigration is a burden for those countries too. https://amgreatness.com/2018/01/16/d...welfare-state/

And this explains exactly what the "new way forward act" in the OP actually does.
