That was the right thing to do. I'm not a fan of Matthews but he did the right thing.

Yeah, after the received a boat load of criticism for saying it. And not stopping there. Also saying that he bet Democrats would rather see Trump elected instead of Bernie.

Democrats are all up in arms about the remark BUT when Democrats called Trump “Hitler”....all silence!
Both have Jewish family members or are Jewish as Bernie is. As a Jewish person, I’m appalled by any Hitler remark to anyone who hasn’t killed anyone.
If anyone wants to call Trump “Hitler” because of killing the Iran murdered or any other terrorist than all Presidents are under the same label, of doing what is best for the Country and we the people.
But Trump was called “Hitler” by the left prior to be inaugurated. Even some Jewish Democrats uttered these words and I cut ties with them after at first debating the name calling. The main reason these Jewish people mention that comparison to me had to do with hardly any knowledge of the Holocaust even though they are Jewish. Their parents came here prior to WWII and they didn’t lose any family members during WWII.
Many of my family members were gassed in Auswitz and other camps. Even Chris Matthews remarks are appalling...were was the same outrage as when Trump was called the same.
Democrats make me understand why I’m a Conservative and each day, more support the Best President America has and probably will have for a long time. George Washington was also a great President and Trump is beside him or maybe even better because of the hate of the left, disgusting tactics and hatred by the left. Including planning a coup on the President of the USA!
While you're correct that Hitler is now immediately damned for the millions he had murdered, the comparisons to Trump have been very specific and very accurate, focusing on many of Trump's actions and opinions: scapegoating minorities, undermining the judiciary, claiming "fake news."
Bernie is Jewish. Trump is not. There is no comparison.

You have to realize-most of the talking heads in the mainstream media (and for that matter, most liberals in general) aren't that bright and have a rather limited vocabulary. When they get remotely flustered or agitated and can't form a coherent sentence, they fall back on Nazi, Hitler or Racist.
So, specifically, what has Trump done to draw parallels to Hitler? Has he nationalized private companies? Put Jews in concentration camps and had them murdered en masse. Attacked neighboring countries, and taken their territory? Created a one party system of government? Install Far Left social and economic policies? Have political opponents murdered? What specifically?

Mexico is paying for the wall through better trade deals for the U.S., and the slowing of their riff-raff at the border. That's what Trump meant, and anyone with half a brain knew that.
