As I said in a parallel thread, the combination of bail release (or otherwise going "gently" on criminals) and sanctuary cities is an indication that liberal-run jurisdictions care more about the interests of illegal aliens than they do about protecting law-abiding Americans. That poor little girl.

It's mind-boggling why the Democrats have doubled down on this, which is actually drowns out and damages any attempt to actually provide helpful solutions to people, such as a healthcare fix or a living wage.

I think the answer is that they are just in love with virtue signaling.

It's disgusting. For those of you who aren't familiar with Chicago, this is an area where there are tons of tourists. I am sure if this starts to affect tourism (I.e. money), things will change.
