Yeah, and you don't need to be sick often to know how true that is. It would be nice if my theory could be shot down over why it's hard to significantly reform healthcare in this country. It's because those in a position to govern it are in great health, family members, too, and so can't relate to the need for reform.

Deductibles are what keep people from abusing the system. My dental deductible is 20% for restorative work, and I consider that about normal for employer covered dental work. For dental, this is hardly an amount that should break someone's bank.

Best thing ever is that for the true Democrat Partiers, Bernies not even a Democrat.

If he was to get elected his chances of getting anything done with Congress is about Zero.

He will be an old do nothing, get nothing done President. Probably won't last 4 years which is why his VP choice would be important.

I'm a truck driver too. If you want something badly enough you make it happen.

For crown's the OOP is 50%, that's $1,000 I would have to pay. I don't have that in my budget unless I felt like not paying the rent one month....

Trump wasn’t my first, second or even third choice. No way I could accept a person who disregarded our National Security Laws - so Trump was my last choice. I believe in a Woman’s right to choose, but not after a baby is viable. I strongly believe in Equal Rights for Gay & Lesbian People And always have. I believe in the so called Dreamers should be legal, with a path to citizenship. I don’t necessarily believe that Fences will secure our Borders, but also believe any Nation must be able to control their Borders to be secure. I strongly believe that without Equal & Blind Justice And Law & Order ... we have chaos. The only time I am ever in a place of worship is on a tour, at a wedding or funeral.

Does any of that sound like I’m his “base”?

TV Pundits, some Republicans, most Democrats (or what used to be Democrats AND all of the Leftists are clueless about who/what “Trump’s Base” is. They didn’t work it out in 2016 & they still don’t know.

$6k is 6 weeks take home pay for me, and thanks to the fiancee working part time while going to school, we need every dollar we make just to make the bills. I'll never get $6k in savings until she graduates and can get a "real" job

You can thank Obama and Obamacare for those $6000+ deductibles. Before that they would only be $500-1000.

But you know that.

My father has similar issues and has to pay most dental completely out of pocket.

May I suggest attending one of the teaching hospitals in the US?

That's what he does and it greatly reduces the cost and he has had top notch treatment.

Best of luck.

Lols, I remember the BCBS individual policy I had pre-ACA, my deductible was initially $2k, but then just to keep my premium from going over $400/month, I had to raise the deductible to $4k. And again, that was all pre-ACA
