Did Bernie somehow miss what happened in France from 2012-2017 when a Socialist (Francois Hollande) was elected and jacked the taxes on the rich to 75%? 2,500,000 rich fled France, & tax revenues plummeted.

https://www.forbes.com/sites/jonhart.../#6b44570b5df2

At the end of his 1st term, his approval rating was (four) 4%! He decided not to run for a 2nd term.

Very few of the rich French Millionaires and Billionaires who fled, ever returned.

Bernie knows about this, and yet he charges the windmill nonetheless, followers in tow, telling them this time will be different...it won't be...it never is.

If I'm Trump, this is the recent example I'd use against Bernie.

Many of the top 1% already own homes in tax haven's, and can work from abroad. They'll simply wire their wealth to banks there (trust me the accounts are already established).

This isnt like the past when the U.S. jacked tax rates. This time we live in a much more mobile society, and Execs are accustomed to working away from HQ. They already have plan B in place.

Americans (the Leftist Americans anyway) are spoiled and also ignorant of history. They just have to learn the hard way themselves.

Trump won’t allow a communist to be the candidate for the Democrats, just like he wouldn’t allow a Nazi. Go back and try again Dems, Bernie is not acceptable.

Forbes...that's basically the mouthpiece of the oligarchy.

Oh, and what happened to..."we cant compare ourselves to other countries, we are different"...we always hear this argument when it comes to implementing a safety net here in America.

So, the events described in the article didn't happen? I know for a fact they did. So your whining about the source when the content is factual is really pretty pathetic here.

The 75% tax on individuals in France was quickly declared unconstitutional and replaced with a similar tax rate but only on CORPORATIONS paying million dollar salaries and not on individuals or other sources of income.

The Forbes link doesn't work me. Please provide other proof 2.5 million left France.

This link https://money.cnn.com/2016/04/01/new...nce/index.html said 10,000 in a year. Unclear what the long-term permanent numbers are.
