But as a Trump lover, don't you love Trump more for swiping money from the defense to build the wall, even though only Congress is supposed to do something like that?
It's more a case of NBC fearing that Bernie isn't electable vs. Trump considering that he's the front runner right now so they are throwing shade at him in the hopes of getting a more moderate Dem the ticket.
You gotta hand it to the Dems: while they didn't get a group of worse candidates than Hillary (because honestly, it's impossible to be worse than Satan herself) they certainly have come close with this clown show.
We Democrats made the mistake of going with McGovern in 1972. Any one of us with a grain of sense in their head does not want to repeat that dismal history.Also, if Sanders is somehow elected POTUS he'll go down like Carter; ineffectual with Congress and foreign affairs. That put the GOP in the wilderness for 12 years; worse than the Nixon interlude. Either way it doesn't end well for an extremist choice.
McGovern in 1972 is probably to the right of any of this year's Democrats. And Trump.

Here is a thought. Bush led to Obama and his policies frightened enough people that they tossed aside Hillary and took a chance on Trump. Trump has been a good President but the Left and their media hate him with a passion which has given to massive support behind the socialist Bernie. People want something different being tired of the same ol politicians but Bernie is so off the wall bonkers that I can't imagine who could top him in 2024 if he should win in November.
Obama beget Trump begets Bernie and then what? if there is anything left of the country...
Democrats need a large African American voter turnout, and they don't have it with Bernie.
Bernie has no chance of winning the Presidency.
In addition to that, polls indicate that Trump's African American approval rating has increased since 2016.
And Bernie's healthcare policy is too radical for older voters, so I'd say Trump will win a lot easier this year than he won in 2016.
