It drives me crazy when candidiates say they are going to do things on Day 1 that they can't do by execuive order

Bernie favors ending the death penalty as do most people on the left.

Agreed but rescheduling marijuana is something the POTUS could do on day 1, DEA has administrative authority to do that.
