About Cuba . Why has everyone forgotten that Obama opened up Cuba, you could enter legally, visit, We had educational and cultural exchange programs with Cuba. He was no communist or socialist or a Democratic Socialist. Of course Trump has now shut everything down. Did Biden forget?

And why shouldn't we able to travel to Cuba? I went in 2016 when Obama opened it up. Beautiful women. Havana is a great place to let loose for a weekend. It's also doing a lot better than many other Caribbean islands. No beggers anyways.

For those who don’t know. What happened in Cuba was the lower class rose up against the middle and upper classes. Taking all of their property, Killing some, Jailing some and forcing out most who fled to southern Florida. This resulted in Castro essentially ruling over a country of peasants; the country hasn’t even held elections in 60 years. Without any skilled people or people with capital the countries progression came to a hault. Everything today is essentially the same as it was in 1959; the infrastructure, the cars, everything. It should be a grim reminder of what class-warfare and complete government control looks like.

About the only thing Obama got right. There's no reason we should completely shut off Cuba in my view. Not that I would want to live there.

It's interesting that immediately after the revolution, Castro tried hard to climb into the pocket of the United States--he didn't want to be a Soviet client.

Castro even came to the States and crashed diplomatic parties trying to get audiences with American politicians. Even into the Johnson presidency, Castro sent a message to Johnson asking for a detante. Castro could have been bought off with a lifetime box seat at the World Series.

Cuba wanted really badly to be influenced by the US for decades. They even used American dollars until fairly recently.
