I could easily have a shirt that has a U.S. Flag as well as a flag of my home state. That doesn't indicate anything.
There is only one "identifying" American culture and part of that identifying one is the English language. Let's put it this way, we aren't identified as a Hispanic, Asian, etc. country. They are simply minority cultures living among us.
Describe the one American culture. The food, the music, the dancing.

Right. Like I said. I could have a cape with the US flag on one side and a Louisiana flag on the other side. That doesn't indicate that I favor one over the other. Louisiana has a unique culture of it's own. Tourist are fascinated.

The American culture has more than one subculture. Why are you so bothered by a flag? It's not that serious. It really isn't
You need to re-read the post where I explained why JLo displayed the Puerto Rican flag along with the kids in cages display. She had an ethnic ulterior motive. Our identifying American culture isn't a sub-culture. It's our main culture.
