When my kids were little, I did not hesitate to change the channel or creatively attract their attention to a different room if something that I found objectionable came on television. And if something I don't like is on, I just change the channel or turn it off. Nobody is forcing anyone to watch the halftime show... I'm confused as to why anyone would bother complaining about it. If you don't like it, there's an extremely easy solution and you don't even have to get off of the couch.

I guess "rugged individualism" doesn't apply to pushing a button on a remote control for conservatives.
Some of the complaints, which were sent to CNN by FCC officials and first obtained by WFAA, came from parents who felt their children were exposed to a "porno show." Other adults thought the show encouraged sex trafficking.
Not sure those 1300 complaints are representative of anything.
True, they were probably less than 1% and are therefore unimportant.

You are right, but that is smart thinking, something that these people don't have the capacity for.

Yeah, not the same culture so does not apply.

Many Latinos seem to identify with their ancestral countries and their cultures rather than with the U.S. even if they are citizens of this country and born here.
Lots of folks do - come to Boston and you'll see people whose family came over from Ireland 100 years ago still identifying as Irish first, American second.

I personally couldn't care less how people choose to identify ethnically or nationally. That being said J.Lo is Puerto Rican and they are U.S. citizens.
