It is not an excuse, it is a fact: There is no law which mandates local LE to enforce Federal laws. Period.
I am not seeking your agreement, I am merely stating a fact.
Local LE can choose to enforce Federal laws, and many/most WOULD, if the Feds helped with the expense.
Local LE would choose to enforce/assist fed LE to enforce fed law, but sanctuary state law PROHIBITED them from doing that. At least here in California.
Also, 287(g) program is funded by ICE, including bed space.

Ask me how i know all that.
Exactly! And thank you for your service to our country!
What possesses you to believe that any funding provided for law breaking politicians, who are putting criminals back out onto the street over and over, will somehow be used for legal purposes?
No, I saw it. You are saying there is no point in funding law enforcement, which is the same as trying to wish the problem away.

Be a US citizen or lawful resident, and see just how fast local LE assists when you break federal law. I will give you a hint, it is full cooperation, no questions asked other than "what can I do to help".
Be a deserter from the military, FBI most wanted, etc. Full cooperation on child crime, cyber crimes, and working with the US Marshall in apprehending fugitives, etc.
